my life is so far from here right now. structured. dressed. google calendared. post-it-noted. happy hour drinks. noon ticket booth runs for late night shows. cases of wine and new trendy boots. charity benefits with tax deductible forms. haircuts and mascara. cat food and contact solution. planning a ski trip, talking key west. chinese food dinners and thursday night tv. morning yoga classes on the early train. novels and music on my phone. catered lunches and it never ends. my life is so far. but when i sit on the couch and open up this old file, searching for a photo of grilled cheese-- my heart is alive. this is the way my heart will always look. a part of me will always carry this. will always return here. hmmmm. off to the airport and a brewery and the park.
